Supported Sony devices

With the release of OvrC Pro application v7.0.0 we have added third-party support for select models of Sony AVRs, sound bars, and line array speakers. OvrC Pro 7.1.0 adds extended support for Sony projectors; including detailed device information and remote firmware updates.

Having remote visibility into the state of the device including power status for all zones, current input, volume level, and firmware version are great for identifying issues a customer may be experiencing. Adding the ability to turn zones on or off, mute zones and perform firmware updates from OvrC will get your customer back to enjoying their movie in no time. For more advanced configuration, accessing the web UI of the device can be done remotely using the OvrC WebConnect feature.

Additionally, there are improvements made when identifying Sony Bravia TVs that are wirelessly connected to the network so that the existing third-party integration on supported models properly show up in OvrC as Sony devices.

Supported functionality for these devices are:

• Device information – Model, serial#, temperature, and filter status

• Firmware version and update

• Power status and control for all zones

• Currently selected input status

• Advanced diagnostics like errors, warnings, and timers

For more advanced configuration, the local web UI of the device can be accessed remotely using the OvrC WebConnect feature.
